Anyone can send funds to inmate’s accounts with Western Union and the U.S. Postal Service.

Via U.S. Postal Service: An inmate’s family and friends are able to send inmates funds through the postal service and must send the moneyh to this address and follow the rules written below:

The money must be in a money order made out to the inmate’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. You should use a U.S. Postal Service money order, since all non-postal money orders that are processed through the National Lockbox will be placed on a 15-day holding period, during which the inmate will not get the depsoit. The Bureau of Prisons will return any funds that do not have correct prisoner information provided the envelope you sent it in has an adequate return address. Personal checks and cash will not be accepted for deposit so do not send any cash or checks.

The Department of Justice Victim Notification System (VNS) is a system that provides victims with information pertaining to their case and/or any defendants in the case. You will receive a Victim Identification Number (VIN) and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will allow you to access VNS via the internet or by phone. Here, you will find information about future court hearings, historical court events, and detailed information about the defendant. This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.

    Prison is far from what society is lead to believe, there is so much corruption and the system is made to keep offenders in for as long as it can while using them as a legal form of slavery. The living conditions are hazardous to a humans life. how can you house people in a rat, roach and insect infested place. I spent 25 years and recently was released and society must know where their tax dollars are going and what the Texas prison system is really about.
