  1. Shannon coones says:

Hello, my name is shannon coones, l was once a imate in Farmington I was treated very well by all the prison staff, Farmington is like no other prison there you have more freedom and more activities to keep your mind occupied. I ran the Native American group there which brung me great enjoyment and helped me grow, I have a lot of great friends there guards and imates, and I done alot of great things and made alot of achievement . Farmington has a very big yard, and is the only prison in Missouri that has trees, there’s plenty to do on the yard games, weight room, ball fields and a track, there’s even a garden. Farmington is like a small community. This all being said Farmington does haveough points, there are a few gangs tha a new inmate would need to look out for, they call themselves the SSGs, and the family values and the 417, each one of these gangs can be very violent, although I had no problems I’ve seen a lot a lot of fights, which the prison staff handled pretty promptly . I have no comment about the food its prison food what do you expect, you get a pretty good canteen where you can purchase food and hygiene products, TV radios in that sorts, Farmington also provides the inmates with many programs including school, I’ve done a lot of things at Farmington, probably things that most other prisoners never thought of and got away with most of it, I’ve had a lot of fun, would l do it all over again? you damn right I would, but not in this lifetime, thanks to all the prison staff and my buddies for making the best of it. sincerely Shannon aka Big Chief Coones.

  2. william k. says:

We have been visiting an inmate for the last 2 1/2 years on a regular basis and would like to voice our experiences. The guards at the front desk have been very helpful when we get there. We had been told about the rules that had to be followed and did not find them to be a problem. The guards in the assembly room where we visit have also been very nice to us. We have had an issue regarding mail sent to our friend and think that better information as to what is acceptable would be helpful. It would be nice if we as non family members could get information regarding the schooling that will be required, and potential probation. Thanks for this vehicle to communicate with the prison.
