From Goldsboro: Take US Hwy. 70 West to Selma, N.C., approx. 23 miles you will cross over the Neuse River Bridge. The prison is located on the left. Take a left on Turnage Rd. and take a left to access the unit.
From I-95 Southbound: Take the US-70 exit number 97. Turn right at stoplight onto US 70 West. Go approximately 5 miles and the prison is located on the left. Turn left into the median on Turnage Rd. and take 1st left to access the prison.
From I-95 Northbound: Take the US-70 exit number 97. Turn left at stoplight onto US-70 West. Go approximately 5 miles and the prison is located on the left. Turn left into the median on Turnage Rd. and take 1st left to access the prison.
From Raleigh: Take Interstate 40 East. Merge onto US-70 East via exit number 309 towards Clayton/Smithfield/Goldsboro. Go approximately 18.2 miles and the prison is located on the right. Take a right on Turnage Rd. and a left to access the prison.

Every state correctional institution has a Commissary that was created to provide inmates an account for prisoner funds and for purchasing things not issued regularly by the facility.

Friends, family, or other people may deposit money to prisoner’s accounts using Western Union or by mail.

Via U.S. Postal Service: Inmates’ families and friends are able to send prisoners money through the mail and must send those funds to the following address and follow the policies shows below:

The deposit have to be in the form of a money order that is made out to the prisoner’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. It is best if you use a U.S. Postal Service money order, since all non-postal money orders processed through the National Lockbox will be subject to a 15-day hold, and during this period the prisoner will not have access to the depsoit. The Bureau of Prisons will send back money orders that do not have valid prisoner information provided the envelope you sent it in has a valid return address. Cash and personal checks cannot be deposited to the prisoner’s account so do not send checks or cash.

Victim Notification

The Department of Justice Victim Notification System (VNS) is a system that provides victims with information pertaining to their case and/or any defendants in the case. You will receive a Victim Identification Number (VIN) and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will allow you to access VNS via the internet or by phone. Here, you will find information about future court hearings, historical court events, and detailed information about the defendant. This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.
