How to Send an Inmate Money

Anyone may send funds to inmate’s accounts with the U.S. Postal Service and Western Union.

Via U.S. Postal Service: An inmate’s family and friends are able to send inmates funds through the mail and will have to send funds to the address below and do so in accordance with the steps written below:

The money have to be a money order made out to the inmate’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. It is best if you use a postal money order, since all non-postal money orders that are processed through the National Lockbox will be placed on a 15-day hold period, in which the inmate will not have access to the depsoit. The Bureau of Prisons will return funds that don’t have appropriate prisoner information but only if the envelope it was sent it has a return address.
