  1. Christina says:

My sons father is an inmate at Davis Correctional. I’m wondering if I can send him a package?

  2. Kelly K says:

I have been to Davis Corr Facility a few times now. The facility itself is very clean. The procedure you must go thru in order to enter is quick and efficient. Once I entered at the same time as the Warden and he went thru the exact same procedure as everyone else did. Most every employee that I had an encounter with was professional and pleasant. Only the guard with the canine was difficult. Once she wouldn’t let me in and once she had me leave early. So your entry is not guaranteed even if you follow the rules. Have a plan B …I’m just saying!

I have a request… need a method to get copies of files for use by an inmate in your law library. I have over 150 court documents that are needed and I don’t really want to use an entire tree to print them and then have to ship. Then your mail room has to deal with it. A small thumb drive about an inch or so long with the electronic files loaded on it, then only mailed directly to the library. It would then be your property and must be checked out while using.
    Thank You
    Kelly 2016

  3. S. N. says:

I have been a visitor ti the Davis Correctional Facility since December of 2015, until today the entire process was professional. I was met at the door by a guard I had never met before and told that she’s warned me many times about the dress code. I was in compliance with the code as it states that leggings are not to be worn as pants. I had leggings under a dress that was knee length. I was then informed that the dress would have been accepted without the leggings? This is also the first time I have ever seen the guard with the K9. This process was not professional as food was being transported right passed the K9 as I was being checked. Three people in a row, myself included, were “hit on” by this K9 that had more interest in the food than the purpose for being there. All other facilities I have visited, the K9 sits still on one side of the gate at which you stand to be checked. This K9 attempted to follow the food cart and came around the gate directly to me after it “hit on” me. I volunteered to have a more extensive search, as I have no contact with anyone who does drugs. I was informed that I should be careful about being around others when they “smoke” because that’s enough to cause the K9 to “hit on” a person. This was very insulting and handled in a less than professional manner. I was denied visit and informed that if this was to occur again I will be restricted from visitations for 90 days. I can’t prevent it from occurring when it’s a false “hit”. This is disturbing and I feel that many people could end up in trouble behind the poorly trained K9 and staff I encountered today. I will absolutely be contacting higher officials first thing tomorrow so that others do not experience the issue myself and two other women did today. On a good note, this is not the typical experience when visiting and the programs and services offered to the inmates is well above the average prison.
