  1. Brittany says:

My fiancé is an inmate at this facility currently he has been there for about 3 years and let me say this is by far the best one he’s been to! I’ve been visiting here since he’s been housed here and ALL of the staff members have been very pleasant to myself and him from the lobby desk (front sign-in) to the next check point and into the visiting room. They have always been helpful with any questions I’ve had and are very clear on what is/isn’t allowed when visiting from language to behavior to clothing! I’ve been going there for so long they know and address me by first name and are always very welcoming! I feel that this facility has a very large visiting area compared to the others I’ve been to, it’s very open very clean and the friendliest atmosphere you can hope for when entering a state prison. According to my fiancé they do have a lot of helpful programs and activities for the inmates from studying for your GED to football (between inmates) he I’d always staying busy whether it’s working out, going to class, playing sports etc. I am very please that he is where he is even though he’s 2 hours away and there is a closed facility to me at about 25 minutes away I would prefer to have him where he is and drive the 2 hours there and 2 hours back knowing that he is able to do all of these things! Given the circumstances I couldn’t ask for anything better, they really try to encourage the inmates and lead them to a better light so that they can change their life when they are released as far as I have seen. So for that I am very grateful and appreciative because he is so focused on doing the right things when he gets home and we owe it all to SCI Forest for their guidance and accommodations they make available to the inmates.
